This letter refers to the recent remarks made by the advisor on commerce, urging the business community to do their part to curb inflation. Indeed, the business community is crucial to the overall economic development of the country. Substantial improvements in the standard of living can only be made by improving individual productivity.

In the West businesses have proved this logic correct by embracing technology and thereby optimizing the productivity of their work force. This not only raised standards of living but has also made their businesses leaders in the global market.
