Woman sets self on fire

LAHORE:A woman attempted to end her life by self-immolation in Manga Mandi on Sunday. The injured woman identified as Shagufta Bibi of Shamkay Bhattian grew despondent as she was not able to return borrowed money. On the day of incident, she set herself on fire. Her husband Ghulam Abbas tried to put out the fire and also received burns. The couple was admitted to a local hospital.

checked: Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) responded to 929 calls received on helpline 15 last week. Both wings of police helped as many as 264 people on different roads, checked 28626 motorbikes and 24,339 people. Nine vehicles and 54 motorbikes were impounded and 184 persons were arrested due to incomplete documents.
