Call to use modern techniques to enhance effective working

FAISALABAD: A three-day Indigenous On-Campus Training (IOT) was concluded at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, here on Tuesday.
The training was arranged by the Office of Research, Innovations and Commercialisation (ORIC), UAF, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission. The second phase of the training was aimed at enhancing the capacity of UAF grade 1 to 16 employees and equipping them with modern tools to enhance effective working. The participants were addressed by Plant Breeding and Genetics Chairman Prof Dr Abdus Salam, ORIC Director Prof Dr Asif Ali, treasurer Umar Saeed, Academics Director Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Internal Audit Director Rana Khalid Mahmood, PARB ex-member Dr Abdul Rasheed, Human Resource expert Salman Mushtaq and IT expert Muhammad Owais. Prof Dr Abdus Salam while speaking on the occasion urged the participants to learn modern trend that would make their working more effective. The new inventions including information technology and others were being used at the campus to serve the students and other stakeholders. He said that agriculture was the backbone of our country and the UAF was taking all tangible steps to ensure food security. Prof Dr Asif Ali said that it was the second phase of the IOT workshop that would bring tangible results in the capacity building of the people. He said that during the first phase, eight workshops were arranged for the UAF employees ranging from grade 16 and above while the second phase had been started for the employees ranging from grade 1 to 16. Treasurer Umar Saeed trained the participants about the modern tools important for managing the financial issues.
