BATKHELA: A local leader of the JUI-F was shot dead in Dargai tehsil of Malakand Agency late Monday night, sources said. They said that JUI-F Wartair Union Council head Qari Abidur Rehman was on his way to a mosque to offer ‘Isha prayer when one Umar Hayat allegedly opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot. The slain leader contested the local government polls on Youth ticket but was defeated.
