Militant having Rs4m head money arrested in terrorism cases
MARDAN: The police have arrested a wanted militant for whose capture the government had announced Rs4 million as head-money, a senior police official said. District Police Officer Sajjad Khan told reporters that the militant had been wanted by the police in eight cases of terrorism since a long time. “He was wanted by the police stations of Mardan city, Shergarh and Takhbhai in different cases including bombings,” he said.
The official added that a police team under deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Bashir Yousafzai arrested Muhammad Rafique, alias Mufti, resident of Iram Colony, from Rashakai which connects Nowshera and Mardan districts. “The captured man was involved in bomb attacks on government installations, schools, CD shops and police vans,” the DPO maintained.
