ANP leader for release of brother from NAB custody
NOWSHERA: Awami National Party leader Asif Khan Durrani on Thursday demanded the government to release his brother Liaqat Durrani from the custody of the National Accountability Bureau, as his brother was wrongly being implicated in cases and portrayed as brother of Shahbaz Sharif’s wife Tehmina Durrani.
“We do not know how investigation officer of NAB declared my brother, to be a brother of Tehmina Durrani. Tehmina hails from Charsadda and we belong to Nowshera. Durranis are scattered in different parts of the country,” he told a press conference. Asif added that Liaqat Durrani was in custody of NAB for the last two years and claimed that there was no evidence for Liaqat’s involvement in any crime. “Liaqat is being punished for exposing black sheep as a banker,” he claimed.
