Peshawar emerge Inter-Board Sports champions
ISLAMABAD: Peshawar emerged overall champions of the Inter-Board Sports Gala for Boys that concluded here at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Faisalabad emerged hockey champions. Lahore finished second while Peshawar had to content with third position.
Faisalabad beat Lahore 4-3 to win hockey final. Kabir, Habib, Qayyum and Muddassar scored a goal each. Imad scored a brace for Lahore while Ibrahim netted once.
In badminton final, Peshawar edged Multan 2-1 to win top position. Gujranwala finished third. Kohat clinched football honours by beating Faisalabad 2-1 in the final. Malakand outplayed Peshawar 4-2 for third position. Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed trophies amongst the position-holders.
