Leave Quran out of political issues: Shujaat

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussain has said the sanctity of the Quran demands that the book should not brought into political matters and the National Assembly speaker should ensure its sanctity should not be compromised in any manner.
In a statement, he said that the way the Holy Quran is being subjected to discussion in the National Assembly and Quranic verses are being used for own purposes that is not appropriate.
"The Quran should not be brought in political matters from any side so that its sanctity is maintained and the National Assembly speaker should not hesitate from taking strict measures in this regard," he added.
