Minister lauds Islamabad Police for performance
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Ijaz Ahmad Shah appreciated the hard work of Islamabad police and expressed satisfaction over performance of the force. The minister expressed these views when IGP Islamabad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan on Monday formally presented the annual performance report of Islamabad Police to him.
The IGP met Minister for Interior and formally presented him the annual report. According to report, the crime of heinous nature declined in Islamabad upto 16.47 in 2019 as compared to the previous year. During 2019, the murder cases decreased upto 10.92 as compared to the corresponding year 2018 while kidnapping for ransom, dacoity, snatching, theft and burglary cases declined upto 50 percent, 30 percent, 7.79 percent, 34 percent and 23.56 percent respectively.
