2nd polio case of 2020 surfaces in Thatta
SUKKUR: Another polio case was reported at Mirpur Sakro in Thatta.
Reports said a 34-month old child Iqbal s/o Akbar Palejo in Khameso Khan Palejo village was confirmed with the polio virus.
Reports said it was the second polio case of 2020, earlier a polio case was reported in Sukkur.
They said a girl of 84-month Rukhsar Leghari d/o Iqbal Leghari resident of industrial area Sukkur was diagnosed and
confirmed with polio virus.
District Health Officer Sukkur Muneer Mangrio allegedly concealed the case but later the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other international donor agencies investigated and found a polio positive case in the area.
Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of the polio case and ordered a comprehensive report on the issue. He also showed serious concerns over the ten new polio positive cases in the province.
