COAS offers Australia help to tackle bushfires

ISLAMABAD: Australian Vice Chief of Defence Forces Vice Admiral David Johnston, the Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) Royal Australian Navy (RAN) called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) Friday and discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS reiterated the offer he made to General Angus John Campbell, Chief of Defence Force, for any assistance in tackling the bushfires in Australia.
The visiting dignitary appreciated the role of Pakistan Army in ensuring peace and stability in the region and thanked the COAS for sentiments towards Australia.
