Security for anti-US protest reviewed
LAHORE:Punjab Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Social Welfare Minister Raja Basharat on Thursday chaired a meeting to review security arrangements in connection with tensions between Iran and the United States and anticipated protests on Sunday. Major leaders of Majlis-e-Wahdat, Shia Ulema Council, Shia Wafaq Al Madaris and other Shia organisations were present in the meeting. Basharat said that the Punjab government wants to ensure the protection of the lives and property of the protesters so the protesters are requested to observe the scheduled SOPs as settled with the district administration for their protection.
