TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad Division Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday registered a case under sections 7-ATA, Explosive Act, 13/20/65 of Arms Act, 302, 324 and 353 of the PPC regarding killing of a terrorist and his three family members in Pirmahal on Aug 27.
The Pirmahal police informed the CTD through an application that the police had information that in a white colour pick-up some suspected persons were travelling in the city. It added that the police and the Elite Force personnel followed them and raided the house No 295 at Housing Colony located on Kamalia Road but the terrorist fired at the police party, which was retaliated. The accused also threw two grenades on the police due to which two policemen were injured, it informed. The application said that more policemen and personnel of intelligence agencies and the CTD reached there. In the meantime, the terrorist detonated a grenade in the house. Later, the police entered the house and found the dead bodies of a woman and two minor boys while the terrorist and another minor child were found injured. Later, the terrorist succumbed to wounds at the Faisalabad Allied Hospital, it added. The FIR also said that the terrorist killed a woman and two children and injured a child through a suicide grenade attack and injured two policemen and a child.
THREE BIKERS INJURED: Three people were injured in a road accident here on Saturday. Naeem, Ameer and Ahsan of Sharifpura, Gojra, were on their way to Toba on their motorcycle when their bike was hit by a car near Chak 323/JB, Trandi. As a result, all three bikers were injured.
