12 outlaws including seven drug pushers held

Islamabad : Islamabad Police have arrested 12 outlaws including seven drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, wine, stolen bike, valuable and weapons from them, a police spokesman said.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan had ordered crackdown against criminals specially drug pushers. Following these orders DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the whole city and no laxity would be tolerated in this regards.

According to details, Shahzad Town police arrested 05 drug pushers namely Waheed, Adnan, Sagheer, Irfan and Adnan and recovered 1.015 kilogram hashish, 250 gram heroin and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession.

Karachi company police arrested accused Irfan and recovered 20 litres wine from him.

CIA police arrested two culprits namely Muhammad Noman and Arshad Mehmood and recovered stolen bike, two pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

Sabzi Mandi police arrested bootleggers namely Allah Rahim Masih and recovered 90 litre wine from him. Kohsar police arrested thief Hakim Khan. CIA police arrested two accused including a bike lifter namely Muhammad Noman and Arshad Mehmood and recovered stolen bike and two pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

Koral police arrested accused namely Mansoor Rehmat and recovered five wine bottles from him. Sihala police arrested accused Ehsan-Ul-Haq and recovered stolen bike from him.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

DIG (Operations) Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.

He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involve d in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
