DIR: Antiques and traditional items, including weapons, were put on display at a three-day cultural exhibition organised at Dir Stadium. Guns made in 1868 were displayed in the exhibition. And the guns with which the people of the (Riysat-e-Dir) district fought the famous Kashmir war, in 1948, were too the part of the stall. Two hundred years old swords, which were used by the people of Riyast-e-Dir, were also displayed. Traditional clogs locally known as Kanrrawa were part of the exhibition. Raja Taj Muhammad, a resident of Gandrai, Kohistan Valley has collected these antiques and traditional guns. Raja said that he had established his own private museum in Jazz Banda, a beautiful and picturesque tourist spot. He offered to donate his collection to the government if it establishes a museum in Dir. The visitors as well the people of Upper Dir praised Raja Taj Muhammad for his collections and keeping the heritage safe.
