KARACHI: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Polish partner Mariusz Fyrstenberg moved into the quarter-finals of Winston Salem Open in the United States on Thursday.
Unseeded Aisam and Mariusz, ranked 46th and 48th, respectively, defeated Jonathan Marray of Great Britain and Michael Venus of New Zealand 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 in the first round of men’s doubles.
They face the third seed American pair of Eric Butorac and Scott Lipsky in the last-eight stage of this ATP-250 event. Aisam recently skipped two ATP Masters events due to a knee injury.
