Three killed in Haripur road accidents
HARIPUR: Three persons were killed while three others injured in two road accidents reported from different part of Khanpur tehsil here on Saturday.
The police officials said that a Suzuki pick-up No IDS 6476 was on the way to Haripur from Taxila side when it rammed into an unregistered motorbike after hitting another motorcar. As a result, two motorcyclists identified as Muhammad Yasir and Fahad Ahmed were killed on the spot while Waqas Ahmed and Rashid Khan, both the drivers of the cars were injured. The rescue workers shifted the bodies and injured to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Khanpur. The second accident was reported from Tarnawa village in the Khanpur tehsil when a speeding dumper hit a motorbike, killing Abdul Mohiz of Kamal Pur village while his younger brother Ahsan was injured critically. They were shifted to Khanpur Tehsil Headquarters Hospital from where the injured boy was referred to Haripur Trauma Centre for further treatment, police and hospital sources said.
