LONDON: World Human Rights Watch (WHRW) has decided to launch a campaign seeking ban on the Rashtriya Swayansewak Sangh (RSS) in the United Kingdom for its “attempts to interfere in the December 12 general election”.

The WHRW at a meeting held in Slough, a town of Berkshire, to mark World Human Right Day, passed a resolution to begin the campaign seeking ban on the RSS as a proscribed organisation.

Speaking on the occasion, WHRW Chairman and campaigner Nazar Lodhi said the RSS was injecting hate in a peaceful British society. “We will observe the founding day of RSS i.e. 27th of September as black day in the UK and Europe every year,” he added.

Lodhi said: “We, a peace-loving community, don’t allow any destruction in the name of religion creed and colour.” The WHRW resolution stated RSS front organisations openly worked to interfere in the UK general election in clear violation of law. “We call on all likeminded organisations and groups to join in this campaign and work with WHRW to begin the process of working to ban the RSS in the UK,” urged Lodhi.WHRW is a local organisation based in Slough, London.
