Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif spent a busy day on the second day of his visit to China. Besides meeting investors in textile, energy, infrastructure, transport and other sectors, he held meetings with senior authorities of different ministries, financial institutions and nation-building departments of China including ZTE, Sinosure, China Development Bank and other important institutions. According to a handout issued on Wednesday, the CM met senior officials of National Development and Reform Commission and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China. The purpose of the meetings was to ensure timely provision of resources for the under-completion projects of China in Pakistan. The Chinese authorities assured the CM that they realise the seriousness of energy crisis in Pakistan and there will be no shortage of funds for these projects. —Correspondent
