Malaysia Summit

December 19, 2019

PM Imran Khan’s planned participation in a summit in Malaysia apparently didn’t sit well with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. So the PM has decided not to attend the summit. Besides the fact that he would be accused of taking yet another U-turn, this decision is likely to create an adverse impression about Pakistan.

It seems advisable for him to go to the summit and try to promote amity among Middle Eastern nations. A decision on these lines made at the summit would be in line with the effort that he had already made and may even be appreciated by the parties concerned.
