Five-year textile policy demanded

LAHORE: The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Punjab has urged the government to provide five-year textile policy to attract long-term investment, a statement said on Tuesday.

Speaking to a delegation of Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), including 15 probationary officers from 26th Specialised Training Program (STP) at the APTMA Punjab office, its Senior Vice Chairman Abdul Rahim Nasir said that the textile industry is planning to establish as many as 1,000 garment plants near major textile producing cities, including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Kasur, Multan, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Peshawar.
