Asif Ali Zardari’s aide convicted, receives 34 years imprisonment
SUKKUR: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Nawabshah, handed over 34 years jail term to PPP’s Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s close aide and former adviser to CM Sindh, Ismail Dahri, in three different cases related to possession of illegal weapons, explosive materials and possession of a hand grenade.
Reports said former adviser to CM Sindh Ismail Dahri was presented before the ATC Nawabshah. After scrutinizing the evidence, the court convicted Dahari and handed him over total 34 year jail term, comprising of 10 years imprisonment for possession of explosives, 10 years for possession of illegal weapons and 14 years for possession of a hand grenade.
Dahri was arrested earlier in a joint-raid of the Rangers and police on June 27, 2019 from his residence in Nawabshah. The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) personnel had recovered illegal weapons, including a hand grenade and explosive materials from his possession during the raid.
