HANGU: A poetry session ‘stargey palar’ organised by Muttaraqqi Tolana Thall was held here on Monday.
A noted writer, Prof Khadim Hussain, was the chief guest on the occasion. Prominent poets from Kohat, Peshawar, Kurram and Orakzai agencies were present on the occasion.
Poets including Eidur Rehman Eidak, Imtiaz Dilkash, Naeem Hamdard Orakzai, Qudoos Orakzai, Arif Jan Arif, Shah Zaman Ajiz, Adnan Bukhari, Iqbal Lihaz, Waheed Khamosh, Dedar Wazir, Umar Farooq, Zahid Naz, Naqibullah Khamosh, Riaz Nashad, Shams Fida and Sahar Bangash recited their verses about terrorism, unemployment and prevailing law and order in the country. Meanwhile, a press release stated that office-bearers of the Hangu Sangera Pashto Adabi Storey were elected. Riaz Nashad was elected as president of the body while Zahid Naz Paracha as general secretary. Other office-bearers included Zahid Naz, Ismail Shah and Ziaul Haq Zia.
