PIC attackers can’t escape from law, says Buzdar
LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday met with Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at CM Office.
Usman Buzdar and Pervaiz Elahi condemned attack on PIC and expressed complete solidarity with doctors, paramedics, patients and their families. Matters of mutual interest, welfare projects and improving the working relationship were discussed during the meeting.
Usman Buzdar while talking on this occasion said that sorrowful incident of PIC was a test case and those elements found responsible would not escape from the grip of law as law was equal for everyone, he added. Indiscriminate legal proceedings will take place and we will go to the last extent in order to ensure the rule of law in the province, he maintained.
We will provide complete protection to the patients in the hospitals, their attendants and doctors. The attack on medical facility is highly deplorable and investigations of that incident have already started and responsible persons will meet their logical end. It is highly regrettable that some elements tried to politicise this incident. Usman Buzdar said the PTI government had undertaken durable steps for ensuring progress of the province and prosperity of its people in a short span of time. We will advance forward by always taking our allies along with us, he added. Those trying to create differences neither succeeded nor will succeed in future.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi said there was no justification of lawyers to create unrest and disturbance. Civilised societies have no justification for such inhuman acts.
Preventing the patients from getting treatment amounts to a criminal act, he said, adding that all our sympathies are with the aggrieved and affected families.
The chief minister by issuing timely directions has nicely fulfilled his responsibilities, he commended. Pervaiz Elahi said that our party is standing with PTI with regard to providing relief to the people of Punjab and is also treading on its journey to attain progress. We supported PTI before and will continue to extend full support in future also. The elements who are trying to create misconceptions will never succeed in their designs. Opposition’s politics revolves only around their vested interests. We will jointly move forward for achieving progress and prosperity of the people of Punjab. Member National Assembly Moonis Elahi and Principal Secretary to CM were also present on this occasion.
