Sherpao seeks judicial probe into Lahore incident
PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) head Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Thursday expressed concern over the vandalism by the lawyer community in Lahore at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology and said that the incident took place due to the negligence of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
In a statement issued here, he said that the situation would not have taken the ugly turn had the government taken timely steps to defuse the tension and resolve the issue between the lawyers and the doctors. He also extended condolence to the families of those who lost lives in the unfortunate incident and said that it had exposed the incompetent rulers who could not deal with such issues. Aftab Sherpao demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident to establish the facts and punish those responsible for causing the deaths of innocent patients and inconveniencing others.
