KARACHI: The second edition of the KFC Karachi Premier League has been tentatively scheduled to begin December 27 here at the Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium.
A MoU was signed between KPL CEO Moiz Bin Zahid and KFC CMO Muhammad Noor Alam on Thursday at the KFC Gulshan Iqbal branch in the presence of other guests and media. KPL Patron-in-Chief Zeeshan Altaf Lohya was also present.
Noor said that his team was very excited to collaborate with KPL management to organise this exciting T20 tournament. “KFC has always supported cricket in the country. We sponsored KFC Karachi Premier League season 1 to promote ground level opportunities for cricketers and has been active part of national and international cricket circuits. We are looking forward for another exciting tournament,” said Noor.
Meanwhile, Moiz said that eight teams will be seen in action during the tournament, which will be spread over 16 days and a total of 31 matches. The participating teams and tournament details will be revealed later at another press briefing.
