Rawalpindi :Metro Bus Authority (MBA) has changed bus service schedule in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad due to security reason during cricket test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The test match between Pak-Sri Lanka will start from Wednesday (December 11).
The changed schedule of Metro Bus Service (MBS) will remained continued till December 16.
MBA Director Shumaila told ‘The News’ that due to security reason, the bus service would start at 9:00 a.m. instead of 6:00 a.m. and the service will remain suspended from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day. She said, “The busses will not stop at Shamsabad station for full day till 6:00 p.m. This practice will remain continued till December 16.”
Meanwhile, Stadium Road will be closed for all kinds of traffic every day till December 16. Over 4,500 police officials have been deployed to maintain law and order situation during the match. Sharpshooters have also be deployed on the rooftop of buildings around stadium to avoid any untoward incident. There will be full checking of visitors before entering in stadium.
