A total of 4354 complaints were received in Police Access Service (PAS) throughout the province during the last 10 months of the current year of which 3,783 were addressed while others were under process.
An official said in Peshawar a total of 1448 complaints were received by the PAS, in Mardan 354, in Charsadda 237, in Nowshera 242, in Swabi 216 and in Swat 103 complaints were received. The PAS in Buner received 44, in Shangla 17, in Lower Dir 65, in Upper Dir 33, in Chitral 26, in Abbottabad 238, in Haripur 117, in Mansehra 217, in Battagram 20, in Lower Kohistan 7, in Upper Kohistan 8, in Torghar 2, in Kohat 164, in Hangu 53, in Karak 147, in Bannu 132, in Lakki Marwat 191, in Dera Ismail Khan 204 and in Tank 66 complaints.
Initially, the PAS was established at the Central Police Office level. Later, keeping in view its success and results, it was set up in all districts of the province.
Now the citizens can send complaints to the Police Access Service through SMS, fax, e-mail, police website, online FIR, visiting the PAS centre and through other modes of communications.
