Married woman commits suicide

HARIPUR: A married woman was found dead in her bedroom in a remote village of Sera-e-Saleh Union Council.

The family claimed that she had committed suicide. Officials of the Sera-e-Saleh Police quoted the family sources as saying that Shamim Bibi, 30, wife of Shaukat of Gheba village, was in her bedroom on Sunday morning. When she failed to come out even after 9 am, the family members broke open the door of the room and found her hanging from the ceiling fan.

According to family sources, the woman was mentally ill and she had committed suicide. The police started an inquiry into the incident.
