Poetry recital session arranged

LAKKI MARWAT: The district administration and civil society jointly arranged poetry session at town hall building in Lakki city on Thursday night to promote peace and spread the message of love and brotherhood in society.

A prominent poet Afgar Bukhari presided over the session where local and poets from Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts were in attendance. Deputy Commissioner Jehangir Azam Wazir, Assistant Commissioner Nadir Shahzad Khan, Additional AC Sajad Hussain, head of civil society Hamid Khan Minakhel, government officials, intellectuals, area elders, journalists, educationists, literary figures and people from different walks of life also participated.

A young poet Rahil Bukhari performed as stage secretary while the stage was decorated with banners and colourful lights. Pashto and Urdu poets including Afgar Bukhari, Muhammad Anwar Babar, Iqbal Behlol, Nadir Khan Aleel, Anwar Khan Begukhel, Rahil Bukhari, Umer Hayat Umer, Gul Marjan Gohar, Javed Khan, Shah Hussain Zaheer, Zahid Ameen Zahid, Inamullah, Waqar Hussain, Wali Muhammad Aajiz, Akram Khan, Wajid Ali Nigar, Saifudin Rahi, Abdullah Quraishi and others recited poetic versus and received appreciation.
