‘Student talent expo’ arranged at Nishtar Hall
PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami provincial head Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan on Wednesday criticised the government for doing nothing for the wellbeing of the youth despite making tall claims during the election campaign.
He was addressing the two-day ‘student talent expo’ at Nishtar Hall here.
Arranged by Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba, the expo was also addressed by central president of the student organisation Mohammad Amir, provincial president Shakeel Ahmad and others.
A huge number of students from across the province attended the function.
Mushtaq Ahmad Khan urged the youth to equip themselves with modern education and technological expertise.
He said the government had failed to focus attention on the problems of the youth. “The promise made by the government to provide jobs to 10 million youth has not been honoured. The ministers now say that it is not the responsibility of the government to provide jobs to people, which should be a matter of shame for the rulers,” he said.
Mushtaq Ahmad Khan spoke about the Kashmir situation. He said that the government had failed to deal with the Kashmir problem in the right manner.
He said the JI would hold a big gathering in Islamabad on December 22 to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
