Moot arranged to equip youth with right skills
PESHAWAR: Impact Dynamics in collaboration with NIC Peshawar hosted Google Business Group - (GBG) Peshawar’s annual conference- BIZFEST, 2019.
A press release on Tuesday said the conference was aimed at equipping the startups and students who aspire to become business professionals with the right skills set to advance their careers and learn about tech and soft skills.
This would, it added, go a long way towards helping them to become influential leaders, tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and business owners.
The moot was attended by over 500 participants. The speakers hailing from diverse backgrounds were there as well. Arshad Mahmood, the co-director of Impact Dynamics, and Maryam Arshad (Lead, Google Business Group-Peshawar and Director, Impact Dynamics, opened the session with the welcome notes.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to chief minister on Information Technology, Kamran Bangash, Murtaza Zaidi, Director, National Incubation Centre, Peshawar), Sanan Sethi (Peshawar Model Schools and City University), General Manager Marketing of Tapal Pvt Ltd, Dr. Shafiqur Rehman (CEO Rehman Medical Institute), Muhammad Asfar Ehsan (CEO Nutshell Forum), Ijlal Jafri (Joint director, Martin Dow Group), Zainab Qaiser Khan (head of UN Women in KP), Sarwat Gillani (famous Film and TV actress) were present among many others.
The panels of the conference were the following: Technology and Innovation-The Way Forward, The Evolution of Healthcare with Technology, Women-Will-Breaking Barriers, Corporate Startups-Opportunities for Innovation, Growth and Sustainability, Mobility-Shaping the Road of Mobility, Social Media Influencers- Shaping Narratives and Gaming-AR, VR and The Future of Gaming.
The conference had featured workshops centring around Ul/UX Design, Designing Games, Firebase Analytics, Growth Hacking amongst others.
The other supporting partners included Rehman Medical Institute, City University and Peshawar Model Schools, Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, KP. KPIT Board was the strategic partner for the event.
The press release said the GBG Peshawar was ranked amongst the top 10 chapters of the world (as of 2016 by Google Inc) hosts free technology sessions and workshops to help startups and business professionals alike.
