NOWSHERA: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Mardan Range, Sher Akbar Khan, has said actions have been launched to eliminate crimes.
He said this as he visited the Nowshera Police Lines for the first time after assuming office where he addressed darbar in the presence of local elite and traders. District Police Officer Mansoor Aman, SP Investigation Sajjad Ali Khan and other police officers were present on the occasion. The DIG enumerated the sacrifices of the police force in general and that of the Nowshera police in particular.
The senior cop said the police force was now free from political interference and ever ready to serve the people with dedication. Sher Akbar Khan said there was no place for the black sheep in the police force, adding those found involved in corruption and derelict would be dealt with severely. Protection of life and property of the people was the foremost duty of the police and actions had been launched to curb crimes throughout the Mardan Range, including Nowshera, the DIG added.
Sher Akbar Khan listened to the problems narrated by the police jawans during the Darbar and assured the cops of resolving them. The DIG exhorted the police personnel to be police to the people who turned to them for help in difficult times. He awarded commendation certificates and shields to the excelling police officials. Earlier, DIG visited the Jalozai Police Station. He was accorded guard of honour when he reached the Nowshera Police Lines.
