ISLAMABAD: Former world champion Jansher Khan expressed his satisfaction over the trouble free conduct of the 33rd National Games and has congratulated all those putting in their share in the success of mega event.
Jansher paid tributes to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, chief secretary Salim Khan, Dr Kazim Niaz, secretary sports Kamran Rahman Khan and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) President Lt Gen Arif Hasan HI (M) for successfully holding the Games in Peshawar.
“After nine years of wait, KP again offered to host the event and completed the job with flying colours. The credit of this must go to all who were involved in organising the events.”
Jansher also hailed the support of KP sports enthusiasts for the Games. “The people of KP should feel proud that they helped in success of the mega event.”He praised armed forces’ support for the Games. “Corps Commander Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood HI (M) and his staff Brig Jawad Tariq and CCPO Peshawar’s contribution are second to none. The forces and agencies made sure trouble free Games.”
Jansher said watching the Games were a wonderful experience. “I along with my grandsons and friends thoroughly enjoyed the events. I hope and expect the next edition of the Games will also be organised in Peshawar.”He congratulated Army and Wapda athletes and organisers for putting in wonderful performance.
