LAHORE:Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said the opposition’s APC is, in fact, the dejected politicians’ conference and added that the politicians without work to do should remember that public acceptability is gained through selfless service of the people and not through political agitation or chaos.

In a statement issued here on Monday, Usman Buzdar said the discarded elements would not gain anything out of the APC as the opposition had no public welfare agenda.

The 22 crore people of Pakistan have full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan who is bravely countering the internal and external challenges, he said.

He said the PTI-led government was pursuing the public service agenda to develop Pakistan on modern lines. He lamented that the environment was polluted through jumbled infrastructure while the politics were stained with corruption in the previous tenures.

Usman Buzdar expressed the commitment that the government would rid the people of both political as well as environmental pollutions. People are facing the consequences of the wrong priorities of the past rulers. One major reason of smog was merciless cutting of hundreds of trees in Lahore, he added.

The incumbent government is successfully implementing the Clean and Green Pakistan programme to promote a green environment in the country. The chief minister said that various steps had been taken to protect the environment and to increase forests in the province. He said the tree plantation target would be achieved. A comprehensive planning has been made to deal with the hazardous effects of climate change and new programmes will be initiated for improving the environment, the chief minister concluded.

IHK: Usman Buzdar has said the Modi government has crossed every limit of cruelty and barbarity against the unarmed Kashmiris of Indian-Held Kashmir (IHK).

Modi government has turned the occupied valley of Kashmir into an open jail for the last 113 days and blatantly violated human rights and all international laws there, the chief minister said. He pointed out that people of Kashmir were struggling for their birthright of independence from India for the last 72 years. The chief minister lamented that the oppressed Kashmiris were deprived of basic necessities of life due to continued curfew. Schools, offices and private institutions are wearing a deserted look, he added. Usman Buzdar said the continued silence and inaction of the international community on Indian brutalities against the people of Kashmir was highly deplorable. Prime Minister Imran Khan has effectively projected the core issue of Kashmir at every forum, he said.

Usman Buzdar said that Kashmir was the jugular vein of Pakistan and both were incomplete without each other. He said the Indian cruelties could not bow down the Kashmiris who were writing a new history of bravery with their blood. The Kashmirs’ freedom movement would succeed, he said. Meanwhile, Usman Buzdar has extended felicitations to PTI candidate Barrister Sultan Mehmood on winning the by-election in LA-III, Mirpur of Azad Kashmir Assembly.

The success of the PTI candidate is a victory of the agenda of change and new Pakistan and it proved that people fully trust the PTI leadership and its policies, said the chief minister. This result is also the writing on the wall for the political parties opposing national development, he added.

He said the negative politics of those who looted the national resources in the past tenures had been buried and the election win had again proved that people were supporting a transparent, honest and sincere leadership.

It also highlighted that PTI has become the most popular party under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, concluded the chief minister.
