PESHAWAR: The management of the Women University Swabi has made it clear that academic activities at its two campuses were going on smoothly and the designs of some vested interests trying to sabotage the peaceful environment of the university would be foiled. The university administration through a communique said that over 2,000 students were enrolled in the university and were regularly taking part in academic activities and attending classes.
“However, a few students at the behest of a couple of teachers, whose contract has expired or about to expire, wanted to create law and order situation in the university and disturb its peaceful academic environment. No one would be allowed to play with the future of the students for accomplishing their nefarious designs,” the communique said.
It added that the issue was created when the university sought explanation from a faculty member Dr Ashfaqur Rehman, head of Political Science Department, on account of negligence in duty.
