Inter-provincial gang of car lifters busted
Islamabad: Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police busted an inter-provincial gang of car lifters and recovered ten cars worth millions of rupees from them, the police spokesman said.
Special police team apprehended four members of an inter-provincial gang identified as Tahir, Hassan Javed, Shehzad Mehmood and Ishtiaq. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to lifting vehicles from various areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Karachi. They revealed that they later sold the vehicles in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Peshawar.
The recovered vehicles bear the registration numbers are as follows: Toyota Axio (CT-525), Honda Civic (LXW-8315), Toyota (ADV-989), Toyota Corolla (ES-506),Toyota Corolla (AYL-082), Suzuki Mehran (RIW-7597), Toyota Corolla (DH-570), Suzuki Mehran (BLU-861), Toyota Prado (LZY-7077) and Toyota Crown (AET-623).
