In order to make functional the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project successful, the Sindh government has decided to provide 230 megawatts of electricity, 10 million gallons of water daily and 15 MMCFD gas supply to the industrial zone near Karachi.
The information to this effect was passed during a meeting on Wednesday with Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah in chair to review the progress on the Dhabeji SEZ project. Briefing the participants of the meeting, Sindh Investment Secretary Ahsan Ali Mangi said the economic zone was spread over an area of 1,530 acres.
He said the provincial government would provide all the necessary infrastructure and facilities to the prospective investors and industrialists who would establish their industries there. The Department of Investment on November 19 held a conference to unveil the roadmap of the Dhabeji SEZ where 100 global companies have shown interest in making investments.
