Woman shot, injured by husband
A woman was injured after being shot twice allegedly by her husband at their house in Baloch Colony on Wednesday.
According to police, 42-year-old Rani Bibi was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical treatment where doctors termed her condition critical. Police, while quoting the initial investigation, said that the woman was shot by her husband, Abdul Jabbar, over a family dispute, and he managed to escape after committing the crime. A case has been registered while an investigation is underway.
Security guard injured
A security guard of a private security company was injured when a bullet accidentally fired by his own gun in the fishery area within the limits of the Docks police station. He was taken to the Civil Hospital where he was identified as 32-year-old Salman, son of Shafiq. Police said that the incident took place when the security guard was cleaning his gun and accidentally fired it.
