Churchill and Conquest star in Lahore races
LAHORE: Churchill and Conquest were the stars of the day when the two won the Shaikh Sajjad Hussain Memorial Cup and Children Day Cup races respectively here at the Lahore Race Club on Sunday.
Churchill turned out to be the best two years aged pony to win the memorial cup while Conquest win came as a surprise in the Children Day Cup. The day started with a win by Chan Punjabi in the opening race. Royal Runner was second and Artagal was third.
In the second race, Red Boy left every others face red, while Love For Win claimed the second position and Zoaq-e-Yakeen was third. Similarly, Khadim was the winner of the third race with Rashk-e-Qamar settling for second position and Big Foot was big enough for a third place.
In the fourth race of the day, it was Aya Sultan that came first, while Believe Me was second and Abdullah Princess was third.
In the two years old fillies and ponies race for Shaikh Sajjad Hussain Memorial Cup which was the fifth race in the card of races, Churchill rung the winning bells while Milord jumped to the second position and Sahil found the place in the top with a third spot. The Children Day Cup had Conquest winning the first spot, Licence to Kill had the say onyly to be second and Sara Jamoot however, surprised by taking the third spot.
In the final race of the day, Princess Anabia, Salam-e-Dera and Madhuri Dixit were the winners of the first three positions in sequence.
