LAHORE: An elder brother of an accused involved in the child abuse case of Kasur was found dead in Nishtar Colony police limits on Sunday. The victim, identified as Shafi-ur-Rehman, was the brother of Attiq-ur-Rehman, involved in the child abuse scandal. The family alleged that the victim, who had been arrested by the police a week back, was subjected to sever torture by police during the interrogation, resulting in his death. The family and relatives staged a protest demonstration on Ferozpur Road and chanted slogans against police. They alleged that police had painted the killing as a road accident and deposited the body to morgue. The protesters blocked Ferozpur Road and demanded the Punjab chief minister look into the matter and direct police to arrest accused involved in the murder.
