LAHORE
Vegetables shortage persisted in weekly makeshift markets due to wrong price fixation, rains and floods, which curtailed commodities’ supply to the city on Sunday.
The government overlooked the markets’ condition after Ramazan and gave free hand to the vendors to fleece the consumers. Massive overcharging has been recorded in all Sunday Bazaars. Most of the stalls were vacant.
Vendors said wrong price fixation was causing unavailability of vegetables in weekly markets.
