PAKPATTAN: A flag hoisting ceremony was organised to observe the 69th Independence Day at the District Complex here on Friday.
DCO Javed Akhtar and DPO Shah Nawaz hoisted the Pakistani flag to mark the day while ADC Arif Umar, EDO Education Javed Muzaffar, EDO Health Dr Siraj, EDO Agriculture Ch Shafique and others also attended the ceremony. Meanwhile, MPA Mian Naveed Ali in a ceremony held at Govt High School distributed gifts among students. DCO Javed Akhtar, DPO Shah Nawaz and others were also present. Likewise, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at Rescue 1122 office to mark the Independence Day. Similarly, various rallies, seminars and functions were organised by different political and other organisations to celebrate the day.
