KASUR: Like other parts of the country, the 69th Independence Day was celebrated here on Friday.
The main flag hoisting ceremony was held at District Council Hall in which DCO Adnan Arshad, ADC Muhammad Shahid, MNAs, MPAs and officers of various departments participated. The schoolchildren presented colourful programmes in their educational institutes while sweets +ACY- gifts were distributed among the patients at the DHQ Hospital. A colourful programme was also presented at the DPS/Bulleh Shah College +ACY- other educational institutions.


Youth dies, 25 hurt while doing wheelie

KASUR: A motorcyclist was killed and 25 others sustained injuries while doing wheelie on Ferozpur Road and Ganda Singhwala Road on Friday.
Waqas was doing wheelie when his bike collided with a car coming from opposite direction, which caused his instant death. Likewise, 25 other youth sustained injuries while doing wheelie in various incidents. The injured were shifted to various hospitals
