US first lady Michelle Obama has expressed desire to work with Maryam Nawaz to initiate an education promotion agenda throughout the world, including Pakistan.
She has conveyed the message to Maryam here on Thursday when Dr Peter Lavoy - Special Assistant to the US President for National Security Affairs – called on her at the Prime Minister House.
He put across the message of the US first lady that
she has wished to work in collaboration with Maryam in Pakistan. Dr Lavoy told Maryam that Michelle wants to initiate an education
promotion agenda throughout the world including
Pakistan.
Maryam highlighted the need of educational reforms in Pakistan , and said that the incumbent government attaches great importance to educational reforms and her services to provide education to the people of Pakistan are always available. The US ambassador to Pakistan Richard G Olson also accompanied Dr Lavoy.
