ISLAMABAD: Ten more foreign national women involved in immoral activities have been deported to their native countries on the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday at midnight, interior ministry sources said. The Islamabad police launched a crackdown on sex-trade mafia on July 25 following the interior minister’s objective to clean up the society especially to eliminate foreign women running their brothel houses in Islamabad. The foreign women holding Azerbaijan nationality were arrested during ICT Police crackdown on various hotels and guesthouses of the capital that were involved in immoral activities. Among these ten, two women were also wanted in various charges by the government of Azerbaijan and red warrants had been issued for them. A few days ago three foreign women belonging to Ghana, Nigeria and Kyrgyzstan who were arrested during the raid were deported from the country. Besides these deportees, two more Uzbek women would also be deported from the country within next a few days after completion of the required formalities. It may be recalled that the interior minister took serious notice of the reports that various hotels and guesthouses of the twin cities were involved in facilitating prostitution and were undertaking other immoral activities. On inquiry it was found out that mostly girls from Central Asian Republics and some other countries were involved in this business. The interior minister ordered the police of the twin cities to immediately launch crackdown on these elements. He also directed the departments concerned to ensure that those foreign nationals who were involved in such activities should be deported from Pakistan at the earliest.
