BATKHELA: A brilliant student who topped the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Malakand, in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Humanity Group examination, has asked the government and philanthropists to help him continue his studies. Raheed Khan, a resident of Bajaur Agency and student of the Government Degree College Totakan in Batkhela, secured 882 marks in the SSC examination held under the board. Talking to The News, he said he could not pursue studies due to abject poverty. He said he had topped the SSC examination in the Humanity Group. The student said scholarships were only given to top 10 science discipline students under the government policy and those students who got position in the Humanity Group were ignored. “I want to get higher education and complete my studies,” he added. Those wishing to help the student may reach him through cell phones: 0343-9287036 or 0333-9262052.
