The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) gunned down three alleged members of the banned Lashker-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) in Manghopir during an alleged encounter on Sunday.
According to a CTD official, a raid was conducted in the Khairabad area of Manghopir on a tip-off received from an informant.
The police following a brief encounter arrested the three terrorists in an injured condition while a few of their companions managed to escape.
The injured terrorists were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
However, the identity of the killed terrorists was yet to be ascertained.
During the search of their hideout, the officials claimed to have recovered two Kalashnikovs, two TT pistols, hand grenades. A case was reported and investigations are underway.
