Death of newborn due to negligence
Lady doctor booked in Gojra

TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra City police on Saturday booked a lady doctor on the charge of her alleged negligence which caused the death of a newborn baby girl.
Abdul Haq of Chak 98/JB told the police that he brought his pregnant daughter Samina Bibi to the clinic of Dr Nasira for her ultrasound at Gojra. He said that the accused lady doctor informed him that the baby had died in the abdomen and an emergency operation was necessary to save the life of the mother. He said that he allowed the lady doctor to conduct the operation. Later, the doctor handed over him a newborn female baby in a shopping bag. He added that when they were going to their village, the baby was found alive. He said that the baby was immediately shifted to a local hospital from where the doctors referred her to the Allied Hospital Faisalabad but she died after two days.
PETROL PUMP SEALED: After cut in the prices of the POL products, Assistant Commissioner Wasif Bashir Khokhar on Saturday raided various petrol pumps to check their sale prices.
During checking, the AC found that one petrol pump located on Toba-Gojra Road near Janiwala was overcharging. At this, the AC imposed Rs 50,000 fine on the owner of the petrol pump besides sealing the petrol pump.
