Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed that all-out resources should be utilised for provision of relief and succor to flood affectees. He said that cabinet committee on flood and district administrations concerned should play an active role for coping with flood situation.
He issued this direction while addressing a meeting of cabinet committee on flood through a video link here Friday. The meeting reviewed flood situation, protective measures and relief activities in flood-hit areas.
Shahbaz Sharif said that all preparations should be completed keeping in view the weather condition in coming days. He said that 100 percent evacuation of people from flood-prone areas should be ensured. He directed the department concerned to send helicopter of the Punjab government to Rajanpur for relief activities, three times meal should be provided to flood affectees regularly and tents should immediately be sent for the affectees as per their requirement. He warned that no laxity or negligence would be tolerated in relief activities.
